Legionnaires disease spreads in Playboy Hot Tub
After an investigation done through the Los Angeles County Health Department, it had been confirmed that water inside a Jacuzzi at the Playboy Mansion tested positive for that bacteria which will cause Legionnaire’s disease.
An outbreak of sickness at the Playboy Mansion has long been blamed on bacteria found within a hot tub. In February about 200 people reportedly became unwell soon after an celebration in the popular mansion.
The Los Angeles Times says health officials offered their findings on Friday at an annual conference in the Centres for Disease Control in Atlanta.

What is Legionnaires Disease ?
Accordeing to MayoClinic, Legionnaires’ disease is a severe form of pneumonia — lung inflammation usually caused by infection. Legionnaires’ disease is caused by a bacterium known as legionella.
Legionnaires’ disease usually develops two to 14 days after exposure to legionella bacteria. It frequently begins with the following signs and symptoms:
- Headache
- Muscle pain
- Chills
- Fever that may be 104 F (40 C) or higher
By the second or third day, you’ll develop other signs and symptoms that may include:
- Cough, which may bring up mucus and sometimes blood
- Shortness of breath
- Chest pain
- Fatigue
- Loss of appetite
- Gastrointestinal symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea
- Confusion or other mental changes
