While similar to traditional Invisalign, this incorporates several key features to accommodate the unique needs of teen patients. Align designed the Invisalign Teen appliance with compliance indicators, which the dentist can use to determine how many hours the aligner has been worn per day. In order to maximize the efficiency of the appliance, the Invisalign Teen aligners must be worn as prescribed. This is usually 20 to 22 hours per day over a two- to three week period. Another benefit of this treatment is the ability it gives to the patient to remove the aligners when needed for sports, music lessons, and of course eating. Another unique feature of the such product is that it features specially engineered “eruption tabs” to compensate for molar eruption during the treatment. The unique features of these aligners make them well suited for the teenage population.
