Cancer Death Rates Report 2011
Cancer death rates are continuing to drop, although not all segments of the population are benefiting, the American Cancer Society said on Friday. Total, the group predicts 1,596,670 new cancer cases while in the Usa and 571,950 deaths in 2011.
Death rates for all cancer types fell by 1.9 percent a yr from 2001 to 2007 in males and by 1.5 percent a year in females from 2002 via 2007. Death rates for all cancer sorts have fallen in all racial and ethnic teams between the two adult males and females given that 1998 with all the exception of American Indian/Alaska Native women, amongst whom rates had been stable.
